Accessories are key to any outfit; often, they're what will help you define it and give it that special touch you've been looking for. The real fun is being able to play with combinations and end up with completely different looks, with a vibe opposite to the previous outfit (if that's what you want). Accessories are versatile; they always adapt to you and your style.

No matter how many accessories you wear, the important thing is always the balance you create; and of course (and most importantly) that you feel comfortable in them. There are thousands of ways to combine earrings, but the simplest and easiest to remember is to choose earrings that match the main or secondary color of your outfit or other accessories like your shoes and/or bag. This is where we start to play around and decide which piece will take center stage.

5 RULES FOR COMBINING YOUR ACCESSORIES

• Opt for large pieces combined with minimalist ones. It's a trendy way to adorn your ears. We call it 'The Perfect Ear Game'.
• Create a color scheme with your accessories; you should create harmony between them and the other colors in your look. They don't necessarily have to be the same colors.
• Contrasts are key; add a touch of fun and color with pieces that stand out slightly from the overall theme and harmony of the look. But it's important to maintain balance in the overall look.
• If you have several piercings and find it difficult to create a crazy combination, opt for going from more to less, starting with an XL earring and ending with a smaller one.
• The larger your earrings, the more understated your other accessories should be. Choose one statement piece and coordinate your look with it.
